Our Beliefs

At CSST, we believe…

  • That the future of the Colorado Springs economy will be focused on Cybersecurity, Aerospace and Entrepreneurship.

  • That students should have an immersive experience in these areas to better understand themselves and the options they can pursue professionally in our city.

  • That society needs ethical leaders in all areas, but particularly in the cybersecurity, aerospace and entrepreneurship industries

  • That rather than “preparing students for life beyond high school” a school should operate like an adult workplace.

  • That high school students should have access to college coursework whenever possible

  • That students should have a loud voice in decisions made about their school.

  • That mistakes should be made at practice, so school should operate like “adult practice” when stakes are lower for making mistakes

  • That a person’s character needs to be developed alongside of their skills and knowledge

  • That when students are treated like adults, they act like adults.

  • That all humans need mentors and guides for their journey

  • That parents and educators can and need to work together to maximize student success

  • That schools should start with yes and offer flexibility whenever possible

  • That a school can have both high expectations and a nurturing environment.

CSST: A NEW MODEL

A brand technology/STEM immersive high school located in the Kevin O’Neil UCCS Research Center and National Cybersecurity Center building.

  • The school has innovation status through the state of Colorado and District 11 which allows freedom and flexibility to better meet student needs

  • The school will be part of an ecosystem of higher education, industry and K12 working together to prepare a future workforce for the city of Colorado Springs

  • We will begin with 9th graders in the fall of 2025 and will maintain a small enrollment (approximately 100 students the first year) and then add grades each successive year to a full 9-12 campus.

  • We will utilize higher education partners for students to have access to college credited coursework

  • Our staff will be highly relational content experts and will be a high performing group of professionals

  • We will offer immersive class experiences that connect with industry partners and community resources as much as possible.
